Job Description: As a Refrigeration and Cooling Service Technician, your role will be pivotal in maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of refrigeration and cooling equipment, including commercial refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, and HVAC systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring that our clients’ equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to service calls and perform on-site troubleshooting of refrigeration and cooling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions, leaks, and electrical issues in refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
- Install and commission new refrigeration systems and cooling equipment.
- Collaborate with clients to explain repair processes, recommend solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Keep accurate records of service visits, repairs, and parts used.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a refrigeration and cooling service technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- EPA certification is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
